Retinol 0.2% Boosting Shot Ampoule

One of the few ampoules combining both retinol and retinal in a single formula, delivered deeper into the skin via microscopic sea sponge spicules, with Madagascan centella and madecassoside built in to buffer the retinoid experience without blunting the results.

Retinoids are the most evidence-backed anti-ageing ingredient category in skincare, and this ampoule earns its place at the serious end of that category. The dual-retinoid approach is the standout: this formula includes both retinol (0.2%) and retinal — retinal is one step closer to retinoic acid in that conversion chain, meaning it works faster and more efficiently while still avoiding the prescription-level irritation of tretinoin. Running both in parallel means the formula delivers results at different speeds simultaneously.

The delivery mechanism is where it gets even more innovative. Hydrolyzed sponge spicules create temporary micro-channels in the skin's surface on application, driving the retinoids 132.8% deeper than the same formula would reach without them. The elastic, stretchy ampoule texture is designed to wrap closely to skin for prolonged contact rather than absorbing and evaporating quickly. And the Madagascan centella complex (centella extract plus isolated madecassoside) is not a token addition, at this concentration it provides buffering of the retinoid response, calming the inflammation and sensitivity that retinol commonly causes, particularly during the first weeks of use. Squalane and panthenol reinforce the barrier and lock in moisture for the same reason. The result is a properly active retinoid ampoule that's meaningfully gentler to use than the concentration would suggest.

Use in the serum step of your skincare routine, 2 to 3 times a week. If your skin tolerates it well, you can gradually work up to using it everyday, in your evening routine. Be sure to always use SPF as retinol can sensitise the skin to the sun.
